Collection Regulations and Charges

1. Members, as identified under Section III 1 of the amended bylaws of Highway 90 Ranch Water Supply Corporation, are responsible for all water going through their meter, A member is a person or entity who is a property owner ill the Hwy 90 Ranch Subdivision. Medina County. Texas.

The owner of the membership is responsible for all charges incurred on the account. He shall be notified of a renter's delinquency only after the meter has been locked for non-payment.

There will only be one meter per platted lot.  Members desiring a second meter must obtain permission to subdivide  the Commissioner’s Court or Medina County and furnish Highway 90 Ranch with a properly recorded deed indicating that the property has been surveyed, subdivided and recorded.

Before service can be established a Request for Service form must be completed and signed.

2.    There will be a tap fee of $2,500.00 to partially cover the cost of connecting into a water main and installing a meter box for a newly subdivided lot. or for a lot that has no existing connection.

3.    Each new member must pay a membership fee of $275.00 in order to have his meter installed and his account activated. This fee is transferable with the real property when the property is sold.

4.    Once service is established, a minimum monthly charge of $38.00 for each residential meter and $48 for each commercial meter will be due, even if no water is used. The rates shall be as follows:

5. If the member requests his meter to be cut off, the following conditions must be met:

a. The account must not be delinquent.

b. The period requested must be for at least three months.

c. A charge of $25.00 will be required to reopen the meter.

d. A written request to discontinue service must be completed.

 

7. A delinquent charge of $10.00 will be added to the account if payment is not postmarked by the 20th day of the current month.

 

8.  There will be a return check charge of $25.00.

 

9. If an account becomes delinquent for 45 days, the meter will be LOCKED and a meter lock fee of $50 will be assessed. If full payment, including delinquent charges, is not received within 30 days after the meter has been

locked, the meter will be removed and a $100.00 service fee for re-connection will be required. The meter will be connected only after a money order or cashier’s check is received by mail. Water board members will no longer accept payments for delinquent accounts.

 

10. Any person cutting Corporation locks will be charged $100.00 for the lock and will be subject to legal action.

 

11. $500 will be assessed for non-compliance of WSC policy. (A fee for non-compliance of WSC policy may be assessed in any and all cases of policy violations.)

 

12. Business will be conducted Monday through Friday during business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you have any questions or need assistance, call the number listed,on your monthly statement.

 

13. If a member suspects that his meter is faulty, they may contact Hwy 90 Ranch Water Supply Corp. to have the meter checked. If the meter is found to be in good working condition, the member will be notified and charged for all water going through the meter. If the meter is found to be faulty, the Board of Directors will have the authority to make a determination if any consideration will be given to the member, and the member will be notified as soon as possible.
